Steve Austin has named some of his favourite WWE stars of the current era.
The Texas Rattlesnake made multiple appearances over WrestleMania weekend. Beginning on Friday at the Hall of Fame Ceremony, Austin and Bret Hart’s WrestleMania 13 match was the first to be inducted into the Hall of Fame to receive the “Immortal Moment” award. Later that weekend, Austin appeared live to announce the overall attendance for the weekend.
Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show the following week, Austin was asked which stars he is a fan of:
“Rhea is doing it right. I mean, she’s been around for [a while] now, she’s a veteran, but she still gets better. I like the way she bumps. She takes a lot of pride in the way she bumps, the way she sells. She’s a solid, physical person. I’d like to see Charlotte get back on track with her storyline or whatever’s going on with her, because I love her. Bayley didn’t get to perform at WrestleMania. I love they’re starting up an angle with her and Becky. Of course, I’m glad Becky’s back.”
When discussing the stars of the male division, Austin predicted Bron Breakker to become an even bigger star, especially now that he is aligned with Paul Heyman:
“Guy-wise, I love what Bron Breakker’s doing. Want to see how he improves. It’s interesting to see that he’s with Paul Heyman. If Paul Heyman can’t get the best out of you, you’re a lost cause. That kid has blue chipper written all over him. So under the tutelage, or under the Learning Tree of Paul Heyman, I look for big, big things for Bron Breakker. There’s a ton of men and women that I’m not mentioning just because my wife doesn’t watch wrestling, so I don’t watch wrestling as much as I used to.”

At WrestleMania, WWE announced that a new show would be coming to Netflix in the summer that would give fans a previously never-before-seen look at what goes on behind the scenes. During the same interview, Steve Austin gave his thoughts on the new project.
