A WWE legend has high praise for Rhea Ripley.
From WrestleMania 39 to WrestleMania 40, The Eradicator had a dominant year that has been rarely seen in the Women’s Division. Defeating Charlotte Flair to win her 2nd World Championship on the main roster, Mami remained on top for the next 12 months with victories over former champions including Nia Jax and Becky Lynch.
With Ripley continually receiving a great reception from the fans and being a standout star in the entire company, The Judgment Day member is set to be even more popular when she makes her return. According to The Undertaker, the best is yet to come for the former champion.
Discussing Ripley’s rise on his Six Feet Under podcast, Undertaker praised Ripley for developing her own unique style that sets her apart and believes that The Eradicator will get even better as time goes on:
“She’s really coming into her own,” Undertaker said. “She’s obviously had a nice year, but I think she’s only scratched the surface of how good she’s going to be.”
The Hall of Famer also praised new WWE Women’s Champion Bayley for her performance at WrestleMania 40:
“I’m so proud of her because she kind of got stuck in a slot for a while,” The Undertaker said of Bayley, whose WrestleMania win marked her first title reign in nearly four years. “And a lot of times when that happens, sometimes people kind of give up and they kind of just end up and be content at that mid-card range. So I was happy. I was really happy for Bayley to get her flowers there and show there’s a lot of gas left in the tank there.”
New Champion Crowned In Rhea Ripley’s Absence
On April 15th, Rhea Ripley confirmed previous reports that she was injured and was forced to vacate the Women’s World Championship, bringing her dominant reign to an end after 380 days.
With Raw in need of a champion, a Battle Royal was booked for the April 22nd show. Taking place in the main event of the show, the second Women’s World Champion was crowned.
