The WWE Hall Of Famer Triple H Credits For Helping Him Most Early In His Career

The WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels Says Was

Paul “Triple H” Levesque has paid tribute to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, recalling how the WWE legend helped him during his early days in the wrestling business.

Speaking on the Flagrantpodcast, Triple H reflected on his time in WCW in 1994, where he first crossed paths with Austin, then wrestling under the name “Stunning” Steve Austin. Despite being a rising star himself, Austin made time for the newcomer.

“Steve was one of the few guys when I started in WCW… he was kind of in the middle of the card at that point,” The Game explained. “But he was one of the guys who, when I was just the new kid coming in the door, which was especially tough in the business back then, would actually talk to me.”

Levesque, who was known as Terra Ryzing, and later Jean-Paul Lévesque in WCW, who was still learning the ropes, said Austin’s guidance made a lasting impact.

“I was young and just trying to get started, and Steve was one of the few who’d come over and say, ‘Hey dude, I noticed you were doing this, maybe try that instead,’ or whatever. He was super cool like that.”

Though neither man found lasting success in WCW, both went on to become icons in WWE. Triple H and Austin would each win multiple world championships, headline WrestleMania events, and leave a lasting legacy on the industry.

Today, both are Hall of Famers, widely recognised not just for their achievements in the ring, but also for their influence behind the scenes, and now “The King of Kings” is the spearhead of the company’s creative division, holding the official title as the company’s Chief Content Officer.

What Did Triple H Say About A Solo WWE Hall Of Fame Induction For Chyna?

Triple H addressed the long-awaited solo induction into the WWE Hall of Fame for Chyna and said that while he doesn’t think it will be on the cards for the 2026 Hall of Fame, he can confirm that it is definitely happening at some point in the future. He asserted that it is not right to induct every deserving person all at once and that the timing needs to be right for an induction.
