Arn Anderson, a WWE Hall of Famer, shared his thoughts on fellow wrestler William Regal’s place among the all-time great workers in the industry.
Arn Anderson’s endorsement came during an episode of his podcast, ARN, where he stated that Regal certainly ranks among the top 10 in-ring performers. Anderson further elaborated on his opinion, acknowledging that while he couldn’t pinpoint Regal’s exact placement within the top 10, he firmly believed that the British wrestler deserved a spot among the industry’s elite.
I would certainly say top ten, I don’t know where he fits in that ten, but he’s in the top ten I would think.
The former tag team specialist even expressed confidence in their hypothetical partnership, asserting that they would still be champions if they were teamed up, even at the age of 65.
At 65, we’d still be the tag champions.
Interestingly, Anderson and Regal only competed together in one high-profile match, which took place in September 1996 during a NJPW event. Unfortunately, they were defeated by former WCW World Tag Team Champions Sting and Lex Luger. However, the duo also crossed paths in singles competition multiple times, including a memorable 30-minute bout for the WCW World Television Championship at WCW’s SuperBrawl IV pay-per-view event in February 1994.
What Other Praise Did Arn Anderson Have For William Regal?
Arn Anderson once called William Regal a God. He stated that in England, Regal was the local god and that he loved working with him due to his technical prowess and brilliant character work.
