Bayley has revealed her pick for the greatest WrestleMania entrance of all time.
The marquee event will be hosted at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on April 6th and 7th and will present the biggest stars on the grandest stage for the 40th time. Along with big matches advertised and big moments expected, fans are also anticipating which stars will receive a unique entrance for the show to make their match even bigger.
When asked for her favourite special entrance of all time by the official WrestleMania social media page, the former leader of Damage CTRL had a very recent pick.
In 2023, Rey Mysterio was recognised for his legendary career as he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class. The next day, Mysterio looked to get revenge on his son Dominik Mysterio, who had been making his father’s life hell for the past 6 months. As “Dirty Dom” made his entrance in the ring in the back of a prison van, the Hall of Famer had something else in mind.
As the camera cut to the backstage area, Mysterio was seen sitting in a lowrider alongside Snoop Dogg. As Eddie Guerrero’s iconic music played, Mysterio was driven to the ring to pay homage to the fellow Hall of Famer. Witnessing this entrance up close, Bayley explained why it is the best Mania entrance:
“The best WrestleMania entrance has to be Rey Mysterio from WrestleMania 39 last year. Him coming out with Snoop Dogg in a low rider to Eddie Guerrero’s song. When I saw him getting in the lowrider I had to walk out there. I think it was right after my match. I made sure that I ran so that I could see it in person. Rey Mysterio is already the coolest person he could have just walked out there by himself. But he did it in so much style that it was such a memorable entrance.”
Bayley Reflects On WrestleMania Exclusion
For the first time in her career, Bayley will feature in a singles match at the Show of Shows as she will challenge Iyo Sky for the Women’s Championship after winning the Women’s Royal Rumble earlier in the year. The major match is a major improvement on 3 years prior, which saw the former Women’s Champion briefly host the event before being attacked by The Bella Twins. Looking back on WrestleMania 37, Bayley admitted that she was heartbroken.
