The Usos have defeated Rey and Dominik to claim the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
At the end of a breathless clash in front of a truly raucous crowd, The Usos emerged victorious claiming tag team gold for a seventh time and for the first time since 2019. The pair went into the match with all of the momentum having beaten Edge and the Mysterio’s alongside Roman Reigns on the most recent episode of SmackDown.
The match swung back and forth with the father and son team taking the fight to the challengers in their typical fast paced style. The two teams roared on by an electric crowd exchanged near falls, with the Mysterio’s nearly claiming victory before Jimmy jumped in the ring as the illegal man and took a 619 for his partner.
After Rey was dropped face first on the turnbuckle, Jimmy pinned the elder Mysterio with the assist from Jey.

The Mysterio’s had captured the tag team titles at WrestleMania Backlash becoming the first father and son team to do so. On that night the pair overcame Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.
Following their defeat it remains to be seen whether a rematch is in their future, but it appears that the Mysterio’s won’t be facing one another any time soon.
Speaking in a recent interview, Rey Mysterio described how it was a blessing to be able to team with his son, adding that there is no need for him to face him in the ring.
