Retired pro wrestling icon The Undertaker has shown interest in joining World Wrestling Entertainment’s creative team over the past few months.
Meanwhile, the globally recognized leader of the sports entertainment industry has already expanded its scale. WWE acquired Lucha Libre AAA in a partnership with the Mexican company Fillip in April 2025, making it a subsidiary of TKO Group Holdings.
TripleMania is the Mexican promotion’s biggest event of the year. Last night’s AAA TripleMania XXXIII show was the first show under the WWE banner. Meanwhile, three of the company’s most notable legends were present backstage: The Undertaker, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels. These three played a big role in each other’s careers — the “End of an Era” at WrestleMania 28 comes to the minds of every wrestling fan.

The Undertaker May Continue To Be Part Of AAA Under The WWE Banner
Although there is no word on whether The Last Outlaw will join AAA’s creative team, a new report from Fightful Select stated that he will continue to grace backstage with his presence moving forward.
The Undertaker is already part of WWE’s LFG program, which recruits fresh talent into the company. He provides valuable insights and mentorship, along with his colleagues, and also holds a Legends contract with the Stamford-based wrestling promotion.
The Dead Man was recently seen in a clip of WWE LFG in which he advised a promising young female talent to use the luchador mask. Could this be connected to his potential future involvement in AAA? While just mere speculation at this point, the fact of the matter is that the Hall of Famer will always have a place in the company that not only gave him an opportunity to succeed as an athlete, but also made him an iconic character to the extent that those outside of the pro wrestling bubble also recognize him.
As for the AAA TripleMania XXXIII show last night, WWE’s former RAW Tag Team Champions Omos and AJ Styles made their presence felt, but in different scenarios. While The Nigerian Giant won the Bardahl Cup, the multi-time World Champion took out the Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio in the main event, crushing the third-generation star’s opportunity at becoming a double champion.
WWE is likely to continue heavily promoting AAA, with more names from the company, especially Mexican stars like Dominik Mysterio, to be featured in future shows.
