The Undertaker is set to feature in a new documentary looking at the life and career of one of the greatest of all-time.
After celebrating his 50th year in the wrestling business in 2022, Ric Flair will be the subject of a new documentary in conjunction with WWE and Peacock. The film titled “Woooo! Becoming Ric Flair,” is set to premiere on December 26th.
In the press release confirming the project it was revealed that the likes of Hulk Hogan and Mike Tyson would be involved, alongside the Nature Boy’s daughter Charlotte Flair. The documentary is also set to feature a huge name not on the list.
The Undertaker To Appear In New Ric Flair Documentary
Looking ahead to the release of the movie on his podcast, To Be The Man, Flair confirmed that The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin will also be featuring.
“Totally [unfiltered]. And they didn’t harness me at all. They didn’t edit it, as they promised, they wouldn’t edit, and it’s spot on. It’s emotional, there’s a lot of a lot about Reid in it. Even footage I hadn’t seen of Reid. Ashley [Charlotte Flair] is in it a lot, Megan is in it a lot, Wendy is in it a lot. Taker’s in it, Steve, Hulk. I mean, George Kittle, I mean, it’s got a lot of new people [in it]. Stephen A. Smith really, really put me over and, you know, it’s one thing that to have people in the business put you over. It’s the people on the outside that think you accomplished something mean just as much.”
Flair explained that the documentary will blow away his famous ESPN “30 for 30” special from 2017.
“It’s actually the most accurate depiction of me, the best way to put it, it blows my 30 for 30 away. And people liked that, and some people were entertained by it. Some weren’t, a majority of people who saw it were, this is much better. And it’s really up to date, because of my health issues and stuff like that, that I’ve gone through, so it’s pretty cool. I’m proud of these guys, Dan and Ben worked so hard on it and Tom Rinaldi, he’s a big deal with Fox. It’s a big deal. The whole thing, the production, I’m thrilled about it. I’m just very excited.”
Ric Flair hasn’t been under contract with WWE since August 2021 when he requested his release. However, he recently revealed that he will be part of the special 30th anniversary edition of Monday Night Raw. This will mark the first time that Flair has appeared live on WWE television in almost two years.
