The Undertaker has a lengthy association with WWE Survivor Series which goes back more than three decades. The Deadman famously made his debut at the event back in 1990 after making the jump from WCW.
On that famous night in Hartford, Connecticut, the star appeared as the mystery member of Ted DiBiase’s “Million Dollar Team” alongside DiBiase himself, the Honky Tonk Man and Greg Valentine. Although he was counted out during the match itself, he made a spectacular impression, and was quickly positioned as a major star. At the same event a year later ‘Taker won the WWF Title by defeating Hulk Hogan via an assist from a steel chair and Ric Flair.
The Undertaker Heading To Boston
With the 2022 edition of the event just around the corner, a new report from PWInsider has suggested that both The Undertaker and his wife Michelle McCool are expected backstage. The WWE Hall of Famer is scheduled to hold his 1 deadMAN Show also in Boston the night before. The shows typically see ‘The Phenom’ sharing never-before-heard stories from his iconic career and taking questions from members of the audience.
Following The Undertaker’s final match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 he returned at Survivor Series to officially say goodbye. The legend has since been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Another star who could be in Boston for the event is Becky Lynch. It has been reported that there have been talks involving the star which would see her return to action to team with Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss and Mia Yim inside WarGames. The group are set to meet Damage CTRL, Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley.
Becky Lynch hasn’t appeared on WWE television since being attacked by Damage CTRL on the August 1st edition of Monday Night Raw. The beatdown was instigated to write Lynch off television after she suffered an injury just days earlier.
At SummerSlam 2022, Lynch failed in her quest to regain the Raw Women’s from Bianca Belair. During the match Lynch injured her shoulder, but worked through the issue to carry out the planned finish to the bout. After the final bell there was a show of respect between the two women, making the Irish star a babyface once more.
