The Undertaker Says Young Wrestlers Lack This Key Skill

The WWE Stars The Undertaker Believes Should Have A John Cena-Style Farewell Tour

The Undertaker believes the younger stars of today need to master a particular skill.

The WWE Hall of Famer has been known to give his unfiltered thoughts on the current state of wrestling. Last month, he criticised young wrestlers for trying to “act like wrestlers” instead of being wrestlers. However, that isn’t his only critique of the young stars of today.

Speaking to Graham Matthews of WrestleRant, The Deadman claimed that talent trying to break into the industry nowadays are more focused on their athletic abilities in the ring than telling an engaging story. He went on to make light of his limited move pool despite his legendary career.

“If you make them care, you’ve won, and that is the biggest thing. I think that’s one of the bigger problems we have. It’s getting better because we are getting some good storytellers now, but a lot of these young wrestlers are relying so much on their athletic gifts that they’re not learning how to tell stories.”

“I mean, I had a pretty decent career with five moves. But I evoked emotion and made people care, one way or another. That’s how you become a legend.”

The Undertaker Opens Up On “Huge Void” WWE Retirement Left In Him

This November will mark five years since The Undertaker officially retired, ending his legendary career at Survivor Series 2020. Despite his retirement putting an end to 33 years of a physically taxing career, it also put some mental tolls on The Deadman.

During a recent edition of his Six Feet Under podcast, Undertaker opened up about his struggles to find his place in life after retirement as wrestling was all he had known for more than 3 decades.

In a further update, IShowSpeed has explained why he still hasn’t forgiven The Undertaker.
