Survivor Series holds a special place in the history of The Undertaker. The Phenom made his debut at the event in 1990 as part of Ted DiBiase’s Million Dollar Team. He quickly made a big impression by quickly eliminating Dusty Rhodes and Koko B. Ware from the bout, immediately marking him as a force to be reckoned with.
One year later at the same event, The Undertaker captured the WWF Championship for the first time by defeating Hulk Hogan, albeit with some help from Ric Flair and a steel chair.
Survivor Series also saw other significant events in the star’s career, including the first-ever Casket Match at the 1992 edition of the event, being buried alive by Kane in 2003, and, in 2000, allegedly losing his luggage ahead of the event, leading to his memorable appearance in snakeskin trousers.
The Undertaker’s last onscreen appearance at the event came in 2020 when he said his “Final Farewell” to the WWE Universe. He was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The Undertaker was backstage at Survivor Series 2022
Days before Survivor Series 2022 hit Boston, it was reported that The Undertaker was due to attend the event alongside his wife, Michelle McCool. The legend held his 1 deadMAN show in Boston the night before the event.
Now, he has posted a photograph on social media revealing that he was indeed backstage at the event. The picture shows him with his old friend Stephanie McMahon, who is now the WWE Chairwoman and co-CEO following the retirement of her father, Vince McMahon, earlier in the year.
Always great to see my friend @StephMcMahon! Congratulations to all involved on #SurvivorSeries#WarGames, really enjoyed it! pic.twitter.com/b8dNZLECBg

This year’s Survivor Series was themed around WarGames, with both a men’s and women’s version of the titular match. The women’s edition opened the show and featured the in-ring return of Becky Lynch, who brought the chaotic bout to an end by leaping off the cage to drive both Dakota Kai and IYO SKY through a table below.
The men’s bout saw The Bloodline take on The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens. The story of the match revolved around whether Roman Reigns’ team could trust Sami Zayn. In the end, however, Zayn more than proved himself by taking out his old friend Owens to seal the victory for his newfound family.
