The Undertaker made a rare appearance on WWE television in NXT.
The October 10th episode of NXT was stacked with not only stars from the developmental brand but also a number of main roster Superstars and a couple of legends. While Asuka took on Roxanne Perez and Cody Rhodes announced the return of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, the main event was pure sports entertainment.
In the ring, Bron Breakker took on Carmelo Hayes, and to add extra space, John Cena was in the corner of Hayes, while Paul Heyman was managing Breakker.
During the introductions, Heyman referred to his charge as the “Badass Bron Breakker,” something which would come back to haunt the star.
The match was a frenetic affair with Breakker trying to attack Cena with the steel stairs. However, Cena dodged the attack, only to be jumped by Solo Sikoa who ran in to add to the chaos. With Cena and Sikoa brawling to the back, the action continued in the ring, and it was Hayes who grabbed the win.
After the bell, Breakker attacked Hayes, hitting him with a Spear and telling him there was only one badass in NXT.
At this, The Undertaker’s music sounded and he made his way to the ring in his American Badass gimmick — as he did on Raw back in January.
The pair went face to face with Breakker calling ‘Taker “old timer.” The WWE Hall of Famer shot back that Breakker would be a special talent, but that day wasn’t today. The Deadman hit Breakker with a Chokeslam and warned him that there would always be a bigger, badass waiting around the corner.
Ahead of the show, Gigi Dolin recalled her own embarrassing first meeting with The Undertaker.
In 2024, The Undertaker heaped praise on a member of the NXT roster.
