The Undertaker Is Very “Optimistic” Of This Former Champion’s WWE Career

The Undertaker Shares What He Believes A Current WWE Superstar Will Find The Most Challenging

The Undertaker has revealed his expectations of this former champion.

Arguably one of the greatest to ever set foot in the ring, The Undertaker has enjoyed a long and storied career in WWE. In a career spanning over several decades, The Phenom has won multiple championships and maintained his status as a locker-room leader.

Recently, during a Patreon Q&A, The Undertaker shared his optimism for former Raw tag-team Champion Omos. The Deadman believes that he can take over The Undertaker’s role as “guardian of the castle” in WWE. He claimed that the Stamford-based promotion can use Omos as an attraction as they did with him.

I’m very optimistic. Obviously, now we’ve had several discussions. The fact that they are using him judiciously instead of just being out there, I’m excited. I think he becomes, at some point, I believe he becomes like the guardian of the castle, basically like I used to be. Anybody, any giant monster, anybody that ever came down the pike, I always got them. It was because I was an attraction, and I kept the castle clean. I didn’t get as many world title opportunities and all that.

But you knew, if there was a threat to the kingdom, they knew who they were gonna they were gonna — and I feel eventually that’s gonna be his role. He will be the one that decides who comes and who goes in a storytelling aspect. I just hope that we get some guys coming down the road that actually can pose a physical threat to you.”

In October 2020, Omos made his main roster debut on Raw, and was soon paired with AJ Styles. His run with Styles saw him win the Raw tag-team championships. He was later also involved in a memorable run with MVP. Omos’ last match was at the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal before WrestleMania 40.

He has not been seen on television since.

The Undertaker Is Not A Fan Of This Modern Wrestling Trend

During a recent edition of his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker shared his opinion on a modern wrestling trend about breaking kayfabe on social media. Ever since his retirement, The Hall of Famer has openly criticized several aspects of modern-era wrestling, and now another factor has joined the list.

There is a huge disconnect for me. Even being in the business, there’s so much — and I try to tell guys this all the time. Like, ‘You’re trying to be this character, you’re trying to be this individual. And then you go and go on social media, and you’re bouncing around acting like an idiot.’

I was just like, ‘How is anybody supposed to take you seriously? This is what pays the bill. This is what you are. This is what you are trying to be. And you’re not there yet.’”

Also on his podcast, The Undertaker clarified past comments.
