The Undertaker Heaps Praise On “Throwback” WWE Star

The Undertaker

The Undertaker has praised the character work of one of WWE’s top stars.

On the special 30th anniversary edition of Raw, The Phenom made a surprise appearance to confront LA Knight. Instead of taking the outspoken star out himself, though, he threw him over to Bray Wyatt who dropped him with a Sister Abigail.

As The Undertaker made his way out of the ring, he also said something to Wyatt off mic. Many have taken the whole segment to be something of a passing of the torch between the two larger-than-life characters.

The Undertaker has high praise for Bray Wyatt

During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Undertaker spoke about the moment but refused to divulge what he actually said to Wyatt.

“If I’d wanted the whole world to know, I’d have said it out loud. That was a moment between Bray and I.

He went on to praise the former Universal Champion, particularly his character work and storytelling skill.

“He is kind of a throwback. He is really into developing the character and making everything make sense which I really appreciate.

“They just kind of told me they wanted me to be a part of the segment. I was happy to be involved with him because I really enjoy his work.

“I know he gets that part of the storytelling aspect and having things make sense.”

While many might have expected Undertaker to make his Raw appearance in his traditional trenchcoat and hat, he actually came out with his American Badass persona.

During the interview with Helwani, he revealed that this is because The Deadman has officially been retired.
