The Undertaker Reveals Greatest Storyline Of His Career

By James Holder. Published 30th March 2022.
The Undertaker - WrestleMania XX

Ahead of his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, The Undertaker has named what he believes was the greatest storyline of his career.

On April 1st, The Undertaker will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame following a career which spanned more than three decades.

During his legendary career as The Undertaker, the star squared off against some of the biggest names that the wrestling industry has ever seen. This included rivalries with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, The Rock and Kane.

Speaking in a new interview with Sports Guys Talking Wrestling, The Deadman reflected on these clashes. However, he believes that there was one storyline that stands above all others, the introduction of and then rivalry with, his on-screen brother Kane which began in 1997.

“I am going to say probably the battles with Kane, I think. It was just, I think a storyline that people, whether you were a wrestling fan or you weren’t, you understood just because of sibling rivalries. And I think people identified with that,” he said. “And Kane was always such a physically dominant athlete, that he always brought the best out of me. So I am going to go with the Brothers Of Destruction.”

During the conversation, The Undertaker also ahead to the future of the business now that he’s hung up his boots. ‘Taker said that NXT serves as a great launching pad for young stars, who are pushing the envelope of what’s physically possible inside the ropes.

“Athletes are athletes, but what separates whether you are a sports entertainer or you are a star is that ability to connect with your audience. NXT is a great vehicle to get these guys jump-started,” he believes. “But you’re right, they are continuing to push the envelope of what they can do athletically and physically. It is actually quite amazing because it’s like a video game in real life.”

The WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022 is made up of The Undertaker, Vader, Sharmell and The Steiner Brothers.
