The Undertaker will always have a home in the WWE Universe. Amid surprising rumors on Taker’s future, the fan-favorite grappler is opening up on potential directions and offering his legendary take on Liv Morgan.
The Phenom has worked with the younger WWE talents in recent years following retirement. He’s serving as a coach on WWE LFG, which may feature the company’s next Logan Paul. Taker has also spent time helping at the Performance Center, among other happenings. It was recently revealed that Taker may have a future on WWE’s Creative Writing Team, and this fueled rumors and speculation in a major way.
Taker did not deny the rumors of his interest in working for WWE creative. In an update, the 60-year-old just spoke with The Takedown on Sports Illustrated and elaborated on being in talks with WWE officials about his behind-the-scenes future.
“Yeah I have discussed it. I’ve been involved in some meetings and just try to get a feel where, my schedule is really crazy and the amount of time and the difficulty of booking TV shows is incredibly difficult. I don’t think people realize how difficult it is to come up with ideas, implement them, think five months down the road, have to deal with the talent and making sure they’re good with things, talent days off, and trying to interweave all of that is incredibly difficult.”
The Undertaker Shares Unique Perspective On Liv Morgan’s Injury
Liv Morgan recently suffered a shoulder injury while wrestling Kairi Sane on RAW. One-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions is expected to miss multiple key WWE events. The injury also forced significant storyline changes, including Liv’s feud with Nikki Bella.
The Undertaker mentioned The Miracle Kid’s injury when discussing the potential WWE creative role with The Takedown on SI. He pointed to how today’s WWE is much different from past eras, and joked that there’s a difference in the entire current process. Taker then referenced the unfortunate injury to Liv.
“And it’s done a little bit differently than it was ‘back in my day.’ I’m just trying to figure out if I got the time to get invested because obviously it is almost a 24/7 job. I didn’t even put in injuries like we’ve had a rash of injuries recently too, right. You’re going down the road and something like what happened on Monday night with Liv. Like what happened with Liv on Monday, all of those things are moving parts that you have to figure out because one domino affects the one domino,” The Undertaker said.
The Dead Man continued and admitted that he is very much open to having more of a role in WWE, and leaving his mark on the product, and the future. The Hall of Famer reiterated how everything needs to be right for it to happen.
“If there’s a role that I feel like I can honestly contribute and make a difference, I would be very open being a little more hands on with the product moving forward. But it just has to work for everybody and that’s kind of what we’re trying to figure out right now.”
