The Undertaker is not a fan of WWE’s current live events policy, which has led to a lack of recognition for the new crop of wrestlers.
Back in the day, WWE under Vince McMahon used to run dark matches and house shows, whether it was before RAW or SmackDown or in between those shows. This was done in order for the fans and people in attendance to know the wrestlers involved. These days, the Stamford-based promotion has reduced the live events, and they’re only doing it whether there’s a premium live event incoming. The move was also done in order for the superstars to spend time with their families, especially during holidays. Just recently, the company ran the Road to Clash in Paris house show in different parts of the United Kingdom just before the main PLE in Paris La Defense Arena.
During his appearance on Six Feet Under with The Undertaker, Kurt Angle recalled how he and Brock Lesnar were involved in live events to further get ring experience together, especially in big matches.
The Undertaker praised the concept and thought today’s wrestlers don’t get enough recognition due to the lack of live events, even if some of them are household names.
That’s one of the things I think a lot of people that come up today…. they need and they miss out on because they don’t run enough live events but I think….. ‘coz there’s always that transition period for people even been in the wrestling business a while,” ‘Taker pointed out.
The Deadman also stated that the Stamford-based promotion reducing the live events and dark matches, stifles the growth of the wrestlers.
There’s a transition period the way the WWE weighed and a lot of times, you’ll notice that guys will come up and they’ll get on TV and then you don’t see ’em. Right? This is because they kind of stomped their toe and stop it a little bit,” he added.

The Undertaker recently found an unlikely supporter of his WWE locker room criticism
The Undertaker previously revealed that he’s not a fan of the current atmosphere of the WWE locker room, which has become more relaxed in the last few years. He added he was speaking from his point of view as a former locker room leader.
Usually, current wrestlers will disagree with ‘Taker’s take, but former WWE Superstar Elayna Black (fka Cora Jade) felt proud when The Deadman said those comments, as she also has an old-school mentality.

The 24-year-old also said she felt validated with the way The Undertaker laid out his statement after what she saw from her friends, who were giving their best night in and night out.
