Solo Sikoa says The Bloodline saga is still in its third inning, indicating that fans expect more surprises down the line.
There are very few storylines in modern times that have captivated fans’ attention like The Bloodline saga. What started as just an arc to bolster Roman Reigns’ run turned out to be one of the most popular factions ever.
The storyline gave birth to Reigns’ Tribal Chief persona and shone a light on all involved. Fans assumed that the storyline was done when The Tribal Chief beat Solo Sikoa. But according to the U.S. Champion, the saga is nowhere close to being done.
Solo Sikoa Speaks About How The Bloodline Saga Is “Just Getting Started.”
In a recent interview with Wrestlezone, the leader of the MFT was asked how he benefited from being a part of The Bloodline, to which The Street Champion responded that it was learning from The Tribal Chief and his real-life brothers, The Usos. Sikoa said that everyone assumed he was just the muscle of the group, who stood there silently.
Solo Sikoa said he used this assumption to his advantage and learned everything he had to, and when it was time, he took charge of the group and evolved it to what it is currently. He said:
“I think just being able to sit under the learning tree of Roman and my brothers. A lot of people thought I was just standing there, like not listening,
Little did they know, I’m over there listening [and taking it all in]. “So when it became my time to take the ball and run with it, I started my own Bloodline, and it took off. So everything that I learned from my brothers and Roman, I’ve used my training from them to take me to that next level. I think that is one of the most positive things [I took from it].”
When asked what, according to him, would ensure that the whole Bloodline- MFT saga doesn’t get boring like a lot of faction storylines in the past, Solo Sikoa answered that it was keeping the fans guessing what happens next. He also said that his match with Reigns was just the beginning, and the story is nowhere close to being done. He said,
“I think it’s just keep the fans guessing,” Solo said. “Everybody thought the Bloodline story was done. Me and Roman fought [and they thought it was done], but we were just getting started. I’m not even done yet, I’m not close to being done.”
He continued, stating that the scenario was exactly in line with Paul Heyman’s comments, where he said the story was in its third inning, adding that there was more to come from both the MFT and Roman’s feud with Seth Rollins. He said:
“I don’t know if anyone remembers Paul Heyman saying it’s [still] the third inning. It’s the third inning,” Solo stated. “I mean, to me it is. There’s still plenty more to come.
I still think that means for both sides, too, with [Heyman] and Roman and what they got going on, and us, too. For Paul to say that, he’s not even here, and we’re not on the same team, but it’s the third inning. We’re just getting started.”
When asked about Reigns’ feud with The Visionary, Solo Sikoa indicated that he wasnts to stay out of it as he has his own ongoing feud with Jacob Fatu. He said:
“I’ve got my own family business going on.”
A clash between both versions of the popular WWE factions on a grand scale could be the next chapter of the whole story arc, and based on Solo Sikoa’s statement, fans can expect it to happen somewhere in the near future.
