The Surprising WWE Advice Bray Wyatt Once Gave Ronda Rousey

The Vital WWE Advice Bray Wyatt Gave Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey has detailed a conversation she had with Bray Wyatt about life in WWE.

Having joined WWE after a successful UFC career, Rousey was less familiar with the machine that is WWE than others who were either seasoned veterans or received advice from others about the best course of action to take while with the company. Attempting to navigate the unpredictable environment, Rousey recalled an honest conversation she had with Wyatt in a hotel gym, where the former World Champion gave Rousey his brutally honest opinion about the wrestling world.

Writing in her upcoming autobiography Our Fight, the former Women’s Champion looked back on her interaction with Wyatt and his advice for Rousey moving forward:

“The next morning, I made my way down to the tiny workout room. My back ached. A fracture in my spine, first discovered in my initial WWE medical evaluation, combined with taking bumps every week, wasn’t doing it any favors. Neither was the rain. I was hoping a half hour on the elliptical might loosen it up before heading to the venue. I looked around the small beige space. A rack of dumbbells was against one mirrored wall, cardio equipment facing another.

A few weeks prior in a nearly indistinguishable two-and-a-half-star hotel gym, I had run into Windham Rotunda, better known as Bray Wyatt. We made small talk, and the space slowly cleared. My workout ended, and I climbed off the machine. He leaned toward me. “Just so you know, these people aren’t your friends,” he said. “No matter how nice they are, no matter what they say or how they act, we’re always just going to be pieces of meat to them. Get in, make your money, and get out.” “Thanks,” I said. “Appreciate the honesty.” It was the first time someone said aloud what I had started feeling.”

Bray Wyatt tragically passed away in August 2023 aged just 36 years of age. A few days before WrestleMania 40 a new WWE documentary will air to look back on the career and life of the former World Champion.

Ronda Rousey Launches Tirade At Current & Former WWE Executives

Rousey’s upcoming autobiography sees the former Women’s Champion recount her time in the professional wrestling promotion from her perspective and includes her uncensored opinion of many current and former higher-ups within the company. Among the names targeted in the book are former Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis and current Executive Director Bruce Prichard.

Not being shy about her opinion, Ronda Rousey described John Laurinaitis as an “entitled 60-year-old former frat boy” and “all-round dirtbag.”

When writing about Bruce Prichard, Ronda Rousey recalled a time when she confronted the executive after he reduced another Superstar to tears.

Our Fight will be released on April 4th. The book can be pre-ordered here.
