The Rock, aka Dwayne Johnson, could be heading toward a WWE return.
Long rumored to the main event, the January 6th episode of Raw, CM Punk and Seth Rollins are finally scheduled to face one another. However, also much awaited by the fans, The Brahma Bull’s return could see Punk and Rollins move down the card, similar to Punk versus Drew McIntyre from Bad Blood,
While in the past few weeks, several reports have emerged about The Final Boss’ return, none of them have been able to confirm anything. Last year, Johnson returned before WrestleMania and engaged himself in a feud against Cody Rhodes.
Expected to do something similar this year, The Rock has been rumored to appear on the January 6th episode of Raw. Despite no official confirmation, the latest update hints at his appearance.
Through a social media post, Johnson confirmed his presence as a presenter at the 2025 Golden Globes. The award ceremony will take on Sunday, January 5th from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA, roughly 20 minutes away from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
His film Moana 2 has also been nominated for the Best Picture award at the Golden Globes.
“As always, I’ll have fun presenting, but more importantly – having MOANA 2 nominated for Best Picture is so special and humbling, as it represents this global embrace of our Polynesian culture and people. As the character, “Maui” and producer this is a very cool and special night. We say it loud and proud.”
On previous several occasions, The Rock has been spotted at events near WWE shows that week. Fans expect a similar pattern to follow on Monday during the Tribal Combat between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.
Cena is heavily rumored to face Rhodes at WrestleMania, while Reigns is rumored to take on CM Punk. However, as per Ibou of WrestlePurists, plans can change if The Rock decides to come back.
The Rock Has Been Awarded Millions Of TKO Stocks
Enjoying a successful 2024, The Rock closed the year with a heavy payday of TKO Stocks. Earlier last year in January, Johnson was announced as a member of the TKO Group Holdings Board of Directors.
As part of that arrangement, he received a huge grant of restricted TKO stock units, including an initial vesting of 96,557 shares in December 2024. The monthly vesting of the remaining shares is scheduled for the rest of 2025.
