The Rock’s Daughter Gets New WWE Ring Name

Simone Johnson aka Ava Raine

Simone Johnson, the daughter of WWE legend The Rock, has reached a new milestone in her pro wrestling career as she has officially received a new ring name.

Simone Johnson joined WWE as a trainee at the Performance Center in February 2020 at just 18-years-old. As the daughter of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, she is set to be the first fourth-generation Superstar in WWE history. Both her grandfather, Rocky Johnson, and great-grandfather ‘High Chief’ Peter Maivia were also legends of the squared circle.

At the time of her signing, Johnson said she was grateful to have the opportunity to carry on her family’s legacy.

“It means the world to me. To know that my family has such a personal connection to wrestling is really special to me and I feel grateful to have the opportunity, not only to wrestle, but to carry on that legacy.”’

Now, the future star has seemingly reached a new phase of her career as she unveiled a new ring name on her Twitter account by changing her handle to “AvaRaineWWE”, presumably meaning she will be known as Ava Raine going forward..

Simone Johnson joins the likes of WALTER, Marcel Barthel, and Pete Dunne in having a new moniker assigned to her, that trio are now known as GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser, and Butch respectively.
