The Rock And WWE ‘Had A Bit Of A Falling Out’

WWE The Rock

The Rock and WWE didn’t quite see eye-to-eye en route to WrestleMania XL.

The Rock returned to WWE in a semi-full-time run last year for WrestleMania XL. After fans chose Cody Rhodes to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Championship, the iconic Final Boss heel character was born.

To help him get ready in the ring, former superstars Gallus were brought in to help him train. Interestingly, Wolfgang shared a time that the company and The Brahma Bull had somewhat of a miscommunication.

In an interview with Cultaholic’s Tom Campbell, former NXT star Wolfgang shared that there was a time their training schedule was changed because The Rock thought WWE would pick him up in a private plane, but the company thought the veteran would use his own plane.

“There’s a whole backstory that we arrived on Monday night. Tuesday was supposed to be day one and then Wednesday was day two and Thursday if we needed it. We got there on the Monday, on the Tuesday I don’t know what happened and I don’t want to start any rumours here, but there was a bit of a falling out about, ‘You come pick me up in your private plane. No, no no, you come pick me up. I’ll be here, you come get me.’ So Tuesday was scrapped. They just couldn’t get off the runway, they said there was a problem with the plane.”

As per the former superstar, it was a case of “just someone big leaguing the other one.” However, this miscommunication wasn’t a negative for Gallus as they could get a free day to see Los Angeles as tourists.

The Rock Was a No Show For This Year’s WWE WrestleMania

Like last year, The Final Boss was heavily involved in the build-up for this year’s WrestleMania 41 by aiding John Cena’s heel turn against Cody Rhodes, which eventually led to The Last Real Champion becoming the Undisputed titleholder.

Despite being involved in the major storyline, The Rock didn’t appear at The Show of Shows. Instead, Travis Scott aided John to become the 17-time World Champion. Fans were unsurprisingly upset that he didn’t show up, but The People’s Champion later reasoned that he didn’t want to take the spotlight away from John and Cody.
