There has been an interesting update on a potential The Rock vs Roman Reigns.
The Rock, who is one of the biggest superstars in WWE history, is currently away from the company as he is busy with his film commitments. Being one of the top actors in Hollywood means that The Brahma Bull hardly has any time for wrestling anymore, but even then, he played a crucial part in the Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes saga heading into WrestleMania 40 and even managed to get John Cena to turn heel as The Final Boss.
Despite this, fans are desperate to see The Rock have one last singles WrestleMania match, preferably against Roman Reigns. For years, it looked like the match would happen, but schedules and other feuds got in the way of it. However, it seems like WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia could be the place.
The Rock Is Close To Agreeing A Deal For WWE WrestleMania 43 – Reports
As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Rock is reportedly close to agreeing on a deal to perform at WrestleMania 43. The star is undoubtedly one of the biggest attractions in pro wrestling still, and could easily take the limelight if he agrees to a match.
According to the newsletter, the star’s pay for performing at the Show of Shows in 2027 would be the highest in the history of the sport.
It has also been reported that The Brahma Bull could face his cousin and fellow Bloodline member, Roman Reigns. However, there has also been a push for Dwayne Johnson to face Cody Rhodes, who has also emerged as one of his biggest rivals. Therefore, if the elusive Rock vs Reigns match has to happen, it would have to be in Saudi Arabia at WrestleMania 43 in 2027.
Those close to the Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority have claimed a deal for The Rock to wrestle at WrestleMania 43 is close to being finalised.

The update is surely exciting as far as The Rock and his fans are concerned, but whether a deal can be landed, given how busy Johnson is, remains the biggest issue. The star has already shed a lot of weight in preparation for a new movie and looks all set to further his name as an actor. Travelling to Saudi Arabia for a show while also training for an in-ring return might be a bit too much even for someone as fit as The Rock. One has to remember that he is 53 years of age, and a gruelling schedule such as this can take a massive toll on his body.
However, how everything pans out remains to be seen.
