The Rock Teases Future WWE Showdown With Cody Rhodes

The Rock and Cody Rhodes

The Rock isn’t done with Cody Rhodes in WWE.

At WrestleMania 40, The Rock stepped into the ring in active competition for the first time since his quick defeat over Erick Rowan 8 years prior. Teaming with Roman Reigns, Rock faced off against the team of Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

Tensions between Rock and Rhodes had reached a fever pitch prior to the event, with Rock calling out “Cody crybabies” and later bloodying Rhodes on an episode of Monday Night Raw.

On The Grandest Stage of Them All, Rock pinned Rhodes in tag team action during the main event of night one. The next night, however, Rhodes’ fortune took a turn for the better when he pinned Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

On the April 8th episode of Monday Night Raw, Rhodes celebrated his title win before being confronted by Rock, who put something into Rhodes’ hand before taking a hiatus from WWE.

“I’ll Make You Bleed Even More” – The Rock To Cody Rhodes

Taking to social media on April 19th, Rock congratulated Rhodes on finishing his story before issuing a stark warning, indicating that the two will face off again down the road. He wrote:

Congratulations @americannightmarecody the new @wwe Universal Champion.

You bought the Rock ticket, now you’re gonna enjoy the Rock ride — for life 🎟️ 🚀

Open your hand and you take your gift back.

Do it again, and I’ll make you bleed even more.

– Final Boss
