While The Rock is no stranger to WrestleMania main events, his latest pitch might not quite be what fans had in mind.
Over the course of his wrestling career The Rock has shared the ring at WrestleMania with some of the biggest names the industry has ever seen.
His trilogy with Stone Cold Steve Austin is the stuff of legend, his Icon vs. Icon meeting with Hulk Hogan set new standards for star power, while his matches against John Cena remain huge events in their own right.
However, his most recent suggestion for a blockbuster match is more than a little bit different.
Brian Gewirtz who worked with WWE and The Great One (and still does) for a number of years recently held an Instagram live session with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Gewirtz is currently promoting his new book ‘There’s Just One Problem…’ and touched on a number of topics with the WWE couple.
During the steam, The Rock jumped in the comments to joke that he should team with Gewirtz to take on Rollins and Lynch at WrestleMania.
“ROCK & BRIAN VS SETH & BECKY AT MANIA! BOOK THAT SH*T!”
After being caught by surprise by the comment, Lynch quickly jumped on the idea, saying that she was down for the match.
While The Rock hasn’t wrestled in a number of years, The Great One has been linked with a return at WrestleMania 39 to take on Roman Reigns. While there has been a much publicised changed at the top of WWE, it was recently reported that the plan was still for the two stars to meet at the spectacular in California.
