The Rock Responds To Kevin Nash Apology

The Rock smiles at the crowd

The Rock has responded to the recent apology Kevin Nash made for being “a d*ck” to him during his initial run in WWE as part of the NWO back in 2002.

In 2002 the ‘People’s Champion’ was one of the two biggest stars in WWE by quite some way and had taken the first steps in his Hollywood career with a starring role in The Scorpion King.

At the start of the same year, Vince McMahon brought the original NWO trio of Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Hollywood Hulk Hogan to WWE. Soon after returning to the company, they became embroiled in a feud with both The Rock and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.

This resulted in two matches being made for WrestleMania 18, Stone Cold vs. Scott Hall and the legendary ‘Icon vs. Icon’ match between Hogan and Rock.

It was this period Kevin Nash referred to when he publicly apologised to The Rock on Twitter for his behaviour.

“Sorry I was such a d*ck to you when I came back in 2002. Just trying to keep my spot.”

The ‘Great One’ has now responded to Nash, saying that they “had a chance to have fun and rumble” in the lead up to WrestleMania.

“I wanted us all to link up and make a lot of(for us and the whole roster). WM18 was huge and a career highlight for me. As was our big Mania buildup when we had a chance to have fun and rumble. It was a great time in our business! Wish we could’ve worked more! NWO4L”

The Rock recently discussed another man he has had bad blood with, his Fast and Furious co-star Vin Diesel, talking about their ill-fated clear-the-air meeting that took place in Rock’s trailer.
