The Rock Refuses To Confirm (Or Deny) WrestleMania 39 Speculation

The Rock

While The Rock refused to confirm that he would be facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, he didn’t exactly rule out the possibility either.

As The Rock’s promotional tour for his upcoming movie Black Adam continues, so does speculation linking The Great One with a clash against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

However, in typical diplomatic fashion, the star himself has been at pains not to give too much away. Although he did take a second to jokingly remind everyone just who the Head of the Table really is.

Speaking to E! News’ The Rundown, didn’t name Reigns but did say that you’re looking into the eyes of the Head of the Table.

“Who is head of the table? Without saying any names, you’re looking into his eyes right now,”

When asked to confirm that he would be facing the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, The Rock said that he wouldn’t. Perhaps interestingly, he also didn’t shoot down the possibility either.

“[laughing] I am not confirming that at all. No. No, I am not. I know I’m going to get a text from him after he watches this.”

The Hollywood megastar was then asked whether he liked the idea of being WWE Champion again.

“I love the idea of a WrestleMania. I’m close to a lot of people there, but I’m very close to one in particular, who we’ve talked about this. There are so many variables that come into play. I’m a fan because I’m a promoter at heart. I’m a fan of promoting an event and what could that be. I love WrestleMania and I love that word,”

Speaking elsewhere, The Rock did confirm that he does acknowledge Roman Reigns. He is family after all.

It has already been announced that Roman Reigns will be making the next defence of his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel against Logan Paul. The champion’s most recent outing saw him defeat Drew McIntyre at Clash At The Castle.

Black Adam will be released at theatres on October 21st.
