The Rock Makes Bold Statement About Upcoming WWE Press Conference

The Rock is preparing to make history in Las Vegas.

The wrestling world remains on edge as the upcoming WrestleMania press conference draws closer. With the company booking the T-Mobile Arena far in advance and charging up to $2,500 for premium tickets, many are expecting there to be a massive announcement in Vegas on February 8th.

Following on from Cody Rhodes introducing The People’s Champion to confront Roman Reigns on the February 2nd SmackDown, all WrestleMania plans were thrown into turmoil as no one really knew what the clear direction would be in Philadelphia in regards to Reigns’ challenger. With no answers provided on Raw, all signs point to the T-Mobile Arena, which will be headlined by a face-off between The Great One and The Head of the Table and will likely confirm plans for Rhodes.

As seen on social media, The Great One stepped off a private plane in Vegas the night before. Gearing up for another face-off with The Tribal Chief, Rock said the following about the event:

“Welcome to Vegas. I have a feeling this press conference will be talked about forever. Signing off, your long gamer.”

Along with Rock and Reigns appearing live, the media and fans will also hear from Seth Rollins, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes and Triple H.

WWE Dealing With Unexpected Backlash To The Rock

Although the Hollywood star appearing at WrestleMania 40 is big time and a match against Reigns is one that people have been clamouring for, there has been significant backlash from fans. With many feeling that this is Rhodes’ time, the groundswell of support for The American Nightmare has seen Rock hit with significant blowback. The February 5th Raw took many by surprise as live fans chanted “Rocky sucks” in the opening segment, which was referenced by commentary. According to a new report, WWE’s strategy for dealing with negative reactions to The Rock has been revealed.

While some believe that The Rock’s return was due to the Vince McMahon scandal, a new report claims that the two events were unrelated.

A few weeks later The Rock finally explained his side of the story.
