When will The Rock return to WWE?
The Bloodline saga has taken many twists and turns in the past few years, and at Survivor Series, Roman Reigns and The Usos will team up with Sami Zayn and CM Punk to take on Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Bronson Reed in a WarGames match. Many fans wonder if Dwayne Johnson will make his presence known at the event, especially after The Rock’s return to stare down Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at Bad Blood.
Speaking in a new interview with E! News, The Rock was asked about a potential return ahead of Survivor Series, and he had this to say:
“Well, I always have a plan. But when we execute it, you know, that’s a whole different story. But I think for wrestling, I’ll always be part of WWE. It’s in my blood… I love wrestling, but I also feel like it’s my job to bring as many eyeballs as I possibly can to the product, but also my job to make sure that I just provide the opportunity in any way that I can for the other guys and the other girls.”
Continuing, The Great One made it clear that he believes there will be an opportunity to return down the road in a continuation of his own story.
“Oh for sure. I think we’ll find another opportunity down the road to do something, because I mean, that’s the fun part about this evolution from The People’s Champion to The Final Boss is that it’s whatever it wants to be.”
When Did The Rock Last Wrestle In WWE?
At WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, PA, The Rock competed in his first WWE match in eight years, teaming with Roman Reigns to defeat unlikely allies Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Rock’s pinfall victory over Rhodes ensured that Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match with Reigns the next night would be contested under Bloodline Rules, creating an uphill battle for the challenger as members of The Bloodline were allowed to interfere.
However, on April 7th, Cody Rhodes finally finished his story and became Undisputed WWE Champion when he defeated Roman Reigns with help from John Cena, The Undertaker, and Seth Rollins.
In a Hollywood update, The Rock has achieved an extremely rare accolade.
