Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took to Twitter earlier today to post a video endorsing Democratic nominee Joe Biden, and his running mate Kamala Harris, for November’s Presidential Election.
‘The Great One’ describes himself as a political independent and centrist who has voted for both of the main parties in the past. He has never publicly endorsed a Presidential candidate before.
In the video, ‘The People’s Champion’ was in conversation with Biden and Harris. He said that he believed the pair were “both obviously experienced to lead” and that Biden had led “with great compassion, heart, and drive, but also soul.” He then ran through Harris’ career, saying that in his opinion, the US Senator is “a certified badass”.
The Rock ended the video by asking the challengers to the incumbent President, and WWE Hall of Famer, Donald Trump how they would earn the American people’s respect if they won their bid for the White House.
Progress takes courage, humanity, empathy, strength, KINDNESS & RESPECT.

Johnson is no stranger to politics, having been rumoured to be considering a presidential run himself. He denied those rumours for the short term in a 2018 interview with Rolling Stone, but left the door open for a run in the future.
“I entertain the thought, and thank you, I’m so flattered by it. But I feel like the best thing I can do now is, give me years. Let me go to work and learn.”
