In an interview with CBS Boston, Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks during her WWE tenure, shared her enthusiasm for the prospect of resuming her wrestling career following her injury. She emphasised the significance of the upcoming return by stating:
It’s just going to make everything so much more special. I thought wrestling was going to be taken away from me ten months ago when this has been my dream since I was ten years old. I am looking so forward to getting back into the ring and doing exactly what I love. I can’t wait to show everybody who Mercedes Mone is.
Reflecting on her unwavering determination in the face of adversity, Mone reiterated her passion for wrestling and her refusal to accept the initial prognosis of a career-ending injury. She emphasised:
There is no quit in me. When the doctor told me this was a career-ending injury, I was like, ‘Absolutely not. This is my life and this is my life passion.’ When you have a dream and you have to go after something, you cannot let anybody hold you back or take no for an answer.
