The Rascalz Expected To Sign With WWE

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Rascalz are expected to officially sign with WWE.

During the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer confirmed that Dezmond Xavier, Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz were departing IMPACT Wrestling next Tuesday and were expected to head straight to WWE’s black and gold brand.

“Their contracts with IMPACT are expiring, so next week [November 17] will be their final appearance on the show. It’s gonna be Rich Swann and Trey Miguel against Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz. So Xavier and Wentz are most likely headed to NXT and Trey Miguel is probably headed to NXT, I heard some talk of AEW interest as well but they’re probably going to be on the next induction phase. Those guys are gonna be brought in.”

Dave Meltzer also noted why the three men did not stay with IMPACT Wrestling and decided to take their chances with WWE:

“IMPACT did not give them a big number for renewal so they decided to take the WWE offer which was probably a better offer. They’re good. IMPACT used them fairly decently, not as big and maybe I would have thought. One Gallows and Anderson came in it was kinda like those guys as a team were not going to be getting a big push because clearly The North and Gallows and Anderson and Motor City Machine Guns were going to be the key teams in that division. So their ceiling was fairly low and they weren’t going to get paid very much. They’re a talented team, I think they could do well in NXT. There’s so much talent in WWE, so many guys go there and you never hear about them, I think these guys would be on NXT television very quickly.”

While it isn’t one hundred percent confirmed that The Rascalz will sign on the dotted line with WWE, it’s looking more and more likely that we will see them as part of the depleted NXT tag team division in the not too distant future should WWE decide to keep them as a team.
