Penta has arrived on Raw.
On the Raw on Netflix premiere episode, Chad Gable asked General Manager Adam Pearce and demanded a match with the best luchador he had. Pearce agreed and booked the match for the January 13th episode. Although the appearance was not confirmed, it was heavily teased by several vignettes during weekly television shows and even by Triple H during the Raw post-show last week on 6th January.
After months of speculations and weeks of teases, former AEW star Pentagon finally made his World Wrestling Entertainment debut. Appearing on the 13th January episode of Raw, the ex-Impact World Champion appeared as Chad Gable’s surprise opponent.
Making an impactful debut, the former AEW tag-team champion left his family emotional at the ringside and San Jose crowd roaring. Participating in a wrestling masterpiece against Gable, the two stalwarts presented several brutal and technical wrestling moves, including the much-feared ‘Mexican Driver’ and ‘Sacrifice’. Dropping The American Made leader with his finisher, the former AEW wrestler pinned Gable to win his debut match.
Wrestling his first match in almost three months, Pentagon picked up pace throughout the match and finished the bout on a strong note. Soon after, in a post-match interview with Jackie Redmond, the former champion announced the Stamford-based promotion as his present home, before calling it the beginning of the ‘Penta new era’.
Penta’s Debut Was Accidentally Leaked Before His Raw Appearance
The former AEW star was long rumored to become a part of the roster since his contract with the Jacksonville-based promotion expired in 2024. However, despite the heavy rumors, his brother Rey Fenix’s wrestling status remains unclear.
