The Undertaker wishes he had access to one company perk a lot of today’s WWE Superstars have.
Compared to when Undertaker started out in WWE in the 90s, transport and the wrestling culture have transformed substantially. In the modern era, a lot of talent utilises tour buses to travel from town to town, with many top stars reportedly requesting this when re-signing new deals. The benefit is a comfier ride when travelling from town to town, especially after taking bumps earlier in the evening.
Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, Taker noted that there are many more buses than when he was in the business, with the crew also getting that perk:
“There’s a lot of talent buses, you got crew buses. Hell, there’s 30 semis full of their sets,”
In regards to how this would have affected his own career, the Hall of Famer noted that his final years in the industry were a struggle and if he had taken care of himself more he may have been able to elongate his career:
“I would have had higher quality matches, I would have I think I mean, even I lasted for as long as I did. I think I might have even lasted longer if I had been able to take that kind of care of myself. The struggle for me those last seven-eight years, it was just health. There was nothing really that happened or could happen that I didn’t feel I had a grasp on how to handle it or how to make it work. That part was second nature at that point, but physically trying to perform and keep myself at a level where I could perform.”
Ending his thoughts, The Deadman joked that if he had access to a tour bus sooner then he might still be wrestling today:
“If I got on the bus sooner, and maybe slept a few more nights in the 90s? Hell, I might be still wrestling right now. Yeah, at a high level,” he joked. “It would have helped, but the 90s, I started in a hole.”
In recent news, The Undertaker has responded to the UFC 299 entrance tribute.
The Undertaker Had Surprising Opinion On WWE Legend
Having been a part of WWE for 3 decades, The Phenom has seen many Superstars come and go over the years having achieved varying degrees of success. During the same episode of his podcast, The Undertaker stated that he didn’t believe The Rock would have made it.
As WrestleMania approaches, The Undertaker has been announced for an appearance.
