Becky Lynch has imparted some words of wisdom to the next generation of aspiring WWE wrestlers.
Although Lynch is now a household name in the wrestling world and one of the top stars in the modern era, there was a time when The Man was the one looking for some guidance to take her to that next level and become a standout star in the industry.
Appearing on Never Before Told to discuss her upcoming autobiography, Lynch recalled previous conversations with John Cena and how he would constantly ask the same question that would alter her career trajectory forever:
“I supposed it’s, more than anything, trust yourself. Then, it’s the thing that John [John Cena] used to always say to me that used to frustrate the hell out of me. ‘I don’t know who you are. Who are you?’ ‘Well, I’m this,’ and then I would go into this long-form explanation, and essentially, it’s, ‘Who are you?’ Find out who you are and bring that to the table in an understandable and digestible manner. That can often be the hardest thing in wrestling,”
As many are aware, Lynch would eventually find her character when The Man was born in 2018. Becoming one of the most popular stars on the entire main roster, Lynch would have a standout year in 2019 which included a Royal Rumble win and triumphing in the main event of WrestleMania 35.
Lynch’s memoir is set for release on March 26th, shortly before WrestleMania 40.
