The Miz has revealed that Jake Paul, Tyson Fury, and Tommy Fury would all be welcome to appear at WrestleMania 39.
The A-Lister has a chequered history with Jake Paul’s brother, Logan Paul. The pair teamed up together to take on Dominik and Rey Mysterio in Logan Paul’s first match at WrestleMania 38.
Despite being victorious in the bout, Miz turned on Paul afterwards, delivering a Skull Crushing Finale on his partner.
After Paul officially signed with the company in June 2022, he made it clear he was coming for Miz. This led to a match between the two at SummerSlam which Paul won with Miz’s own finisher.
Paul’s third bout was a blockbuster match against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel in November. During the match, his brother Jake interfered on his behalf to take out The Usos. It wasn’t enough, though, as Reigns put Logan away with a Spear to retain his title.
In recent weeks, Paul has targetted Seth Rollins and made a statement by costing him a chance at the United States Championship at Elimination Chamber. It is widely expected the two will meet in the ring at WrestleMania 39.
During a recent interview with TMZ, Miz praised Paul for “honing in on” wrestling but thinks he might have bitten off more than he can chew with Rollins. However, he admitted that anything can happen on the Grandest Stage Of Them All and involvement from Jake Paul couldn’t be ruled out.
“Logan has taken WWE and really locked in and honed in on it. I think he’s messing with the wrong person with Seth Rollins, but who knows? I mean, you never know what’s going to happen at WrestleMania, especially at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles. We want to make some splashes, make noise. So if Jake wants to get involved in that, I think it’d be more than welcome.”
Jake Paul recently suffered a high-profile boxing loss to Tommy Fury, the brother of Tyson Fury. When it was suggested Tommy might also appear as well, Miz said all four could turn up.
“Maybe all of them, Tyson as well. Tyson has been involved, so… There’s a lot of things going on.”
The Miz is hosting WrestleMania 39
While Miz is also set to appear at the Showcase of the Immortals, it won’t be in a wrestling capacity. On the February 27th edition of Raw, he announced that he will be hosting the show.
So far, four matches have been announced for the two-night spectacular:
- Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes – Undisputed WWE Universal Championship
- Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Rhea Ripley – SmackDown Women’s Title
- Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka
- Omos vs. Brock Lesnar
