The Miz Wins WWE Championship At Elimination Chamber

The Miz

The Miz has ousted Drew McIntyre as WWE Champion – cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase at the culmination of Elimination Chamber 2021 to win the title for the second time in his career!

On the same night Edge declared his intention to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania, The A-Lister would prove to be the ultimate opportunist when he ended The Scottish Warrior’s second reign as WWE Champion after McIntyre retained in a hellacious Elimination Chamber Match.

Mr Money In The Bank would have a little help, though, with Miz deep in discussions with MVP before the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match foreshadowing the events which would unfold following its finale. Out of nowhere, Lashley would attack McIntyre and soften up the then-WWE Champion even further after his brutal title defence.

The Elimination Chamber Match would see McIntyre enter the match third, and outlast Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton, making it to the final three with AJ Styles and long-term rival Sheamus. The Phenomenal One would shockingly eliminate The Celtic Warrior, before his Phenomenal Forearm attempt was usurped by a Claymore from Drew McIntyre. Of course, no champion is safe while the Money In The Bank contract is in play – and The Miz would make the advantage of being able to call his shot count.

After Lashley’s beatdown of McIntyre, Miz cashed in and hit the Scotsman with a kick and a DDT, only to be met with a kick-out at two, but a Skull-Crushing Finale would prove to be the end of McIntyre’s second WWE Championship reign, and usher in the sequel to The Miz’s first run almost ten years ago.

The Miz wasn’t the only new champion crowned at Elimination Chamber, as Riddle dethroned the aforementioned Lashley to become United States Champion.
