WWE Superstar The Miz is set to follow in the dance steps of Nikki Bella and Chris Jericho and foxtrot his way onto the new season of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.
The Miz had been due to face John Morrison on the August 30th episode of Monday Night RAW, but didn’t appear on the show. It has now been revealed that the absence was due to Miz stepping out of the ring and on to the dance floor.
The report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, notes that the show is scheduled to begin on September 30th.
It has been confirmed that the 30th season of the show will feature singer Jojo Siwa, with the rest of the cast being announced in the coming weeks.
The Miz first came to prominence appearing on the 10th season of MTV reality show, The Real World in 2001. A year later, the reality star appeared in the forth season of WWE Tough Enough, going on to win the competition and a WWE contract.
In the years that followed Miz went on to win every major championship that WWE has to offer. The Triple Crown Champion most recently held the WWE Championship in February 2021.
In recent weeks the star has begun a feud with his former partner John Morrison. On the August 23rd edition of Monday Night RAW, Miz turned on Morrison after being defeated by Xavier Woods.
Morrison had got in the ring to console his friend but was ruthlessly attacked and beaten down. Miz finished the job with a Skull Crushing Finale to leave his former friend laying.
Outside of the ring, Miz has appeared in numerous WWE Studios films as well as his own reality series Miz & Mrs alongside his wife Maryse.
The first season of Dancing With The Stars premiered back in 2005 and was won by Kelly Monaco.
