Former WWE Champion The Miz has put forth his vote for Cesaro to hold the legendary gold before his storied in-ring career comes to a close.
For years, wrestling devotees have been pushing for ‘The Swiss Superman’ to be elevated to the main event with many, including the legendary Jim Cornette, stating their belief that the star should already be a multiple-time world champion by now.
However, that prophecy hasn’t come to pass with the Switzerland native a stalwart of both WWE’s mid-card and tag team division over the last nine years. It has been only in the last few months that the talent has begun to touch the face of the promotion’s main event picture with a thrilling appearance inside the SmackDown Elimination Chamber and getting himself noticed by WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Now, The Miz has joined Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette to talk about Cesaro and how, in his opinion, the marvel will finally bag the big one when fans return to arenas:
“Speaking of Cesaro, arguably the most talented person in a WWE ring. One of the most, I don’t know if you can call him underrated anymore because people know, people get it. I honestly believe it [Cesaro getting a push] is gonna happen, and I think it’s gonna happen when we get fans back, because I think there’s no denying his talent. It’s going to get him there.”
‘The A-Lister’ was on the receiving end of a transitional WWE Championship reign after losing the gold to Bobby Lashley on the March 1 Monday Night Raw. This followed his acquisition of the strap at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 21.
