The Kings of NXT struck again on Wednesday’s edition of NXT and this time their target was the former NXT Tag Team Champions, Breezango.
During the main event of the broadcast which saw Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan defend the doubles gold against Breeze and Fandango, the newly formed stable asserted their sovereignty and send another clear message to The Undisputed Era.
After The Kings of NXT had retained their championships thanks to assistance by Pete Dunne, ‘The Bruiserweight’ brutalised a rampaging Drake Maverick who looked for revenge on his fellow Brit after slamming a car door on Killian Dain’s face last week.
The numbers game was too much for Maverick to overcome and the faction washed away both Drake and Breezango who attempted to save their friend.
With ferocious intent, the likes we’ve not seen since his days in Progress Wrestling, Pete Dunne laid into the smaller Brit as Burch, Lorcan and McAfee watched on in glee. After a brutal attack by the former WWE United Kingdom Champion, Drake Maverick was driven into the announce table with an x-plex.
Calling for the broken star to be hoisted to his knees, Pat McAfee struck with a vicious punt to render the former ‘Rockstar’ unconscious knowing that Adam Cole and The Undisputed Era were watching at home.
It is currently unknown when The Undisputed Era will return to NXT television to take up arms against The Kings of NXT, but until they do, it seems an 8-man war is brewing for the newly bonded stable with Breezango, Drake Maverick and Killian Dain.
