The Kings Of NXT Make A Brutal Statement

The Kings of NXT Thumb

On Wednesday’s edition of NXT, Pete Dunne, Pat McAfee, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan crowned themselves The Kings of NXT and made a brutal statement about their intentions for the brand.

Wasting no time in making their presence known, the quartet hit the ring during a bout which saw Killian Dain and Drake Maverick battle Ever-Rise. As the bout came to its conclusion, we were made aware of Pat McAfee’s presence who was operating one of the cameras.

Seconds later, Dunne, Burch and Lorcan hit the ring with furious intent and almost literally dismantled the babyface duo with a heinous attack. Putting a full stop on this stage of their invasion, the trio dropped Maverick and Dain with a three-way twisting draping DDT.

Were they done there? Absolutely not. Taking the microphone, McAfee officially christened the group, The Kings of NXT, and informed us that there had never been a more dominant stable on the black and gold brand.

A clear shot across the bow of The Undisputed Era, the leader vowed that he would pay respects to the bloc later in the evening and hang the Undisputed Era banner from the rafters.

Next up was the former WWE United Kingdom Champion, Pete Dunne. With all his usual disregard, ‘The Bruiserweight’ confirmed the reason for his heel turn being Roderick Strong’s deception in 2018 before McAfee told the world that Adam Cole and his cronies held the entire locker room back.

Later in the broadcast, The King of NXT returned to prove that they could do anything to anyone. Plans had changed and the group had decided against hanging The Undisputed Era’s flag from the rafters. Instead they set it alight and stood over it’s ashes.

To cement what was already a delicious heel turn, Pete Dunne trapped Killian Dain’s head in a car and introduced him to a bitter end when he crushed his skull with the door. Dunne left the Irishman unconscious and pouring of blood.

On next week’s edition of NXT, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan will defend their NXT Tag Team Championships against Breezango.

While it’s obvious we’re heading towards The Kings of NXT vs. The Undisputed Era at the next NXT TakeOver – hopefully WarGames – it’s going to be absolutely fascinating to watch the brand’s newest group flourish and shine as well as Undisputed Era’s retribution.

All eyes are now on NXT as this wonderful tale of vengeance continues.
