There’s been more good news for WWE after NXT pulled in more than 700,000 viewers.
On July 25th, NXT topped 700,000 viewers for a second consecutive week for the first time since 2021. While the overall figure dipped from the previous week by 5.8% down to 703,000 viewers, the 0.23 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic represents a 9.5% increase.
That demographic number ties the figure from the June 20th episode of the show when Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Title against Bron Breakker. In turn, this was the highest rating since October 2020.
NXT once again featured a number of appearances from Judgment Day with Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley opening the show. Meanwhile, Ripley took on and defeated Lyra Valkyria in the main event.
Will Judgment Day Be Staying In WWE NXT?
In recent months, WWE has increased the amount of crossover between the main roster and NXT with a number of Raw and SmackDown stars appearing on the third brand. The shift in policy has also seen NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes wrestle on Monday Night Raw.
While the likes of Seth Rollins have passed through NXT, Mustafa Ali, Dana Brooke, and Baron Corbin have become regulars on the show.
The crossover between NXT and in particular the Judgment Day, looks set to continue. Dominik Mysterio is currently the North American Champion and will defend that title against Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali at the Great American Bash.
