According to Fightful Select, several within IMPACT knew that the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions were coming in after receiving a “very nice offer” to join the company. The report states that the final touches to their deal are a “closely guarded secret” inside the promotion.
The former IIconics haven’t wrestled in over five months, largely due to WWE’s 90-day no-compete clause and having to apply for new work visas. WWE released both Lee and McKay, along with many others in April of this year the day after WrestleMania 37. Since their release, Lee and McKay filed a trademark for The IInspiration.
As well as trademarking their new ring names, they launched their own podcast, Off Her Chops and a new eponymously named single by Hayley Cameron. They also announced The IInspiration Tour, which involved several wrestling convention appearances culminating in their IMPACT debut at Bound for Glory.
Several championship matches have already been announced for the pay-per-view including Christian Cage defending the IMPACT World Championship against Josh Alexander and Deonna Purrazzo vs Mickie James for the Knockouts Championship.
