The IIconics File For Intriguing New Trademark

Cassie Lee and Jessie Kay, formerly Peyton Royce and Billie Kay in the WWE, have been making plenty of moves since their release from the company back in April.

The duo wasted little time in trademarking their new ring names, as well as the show title for their new podcast, ‘Off Her Chops‘, and they haven’t stopped there.

The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions have now reportedly filed for the term ‘The IInspiration’.

There’s no further context around this filing available, however many have reasonably speculated that this could potentially be the team’s new name since ‘The IIconics’ remains under WWE licence.

Hopefully, fans may not have to wait too long to find out what the duo have planned next, as their respective 90-day non-compete clauses expire next month (July 14th).

Lee and Kay have mooted potential moves to both AEW and Impact Wrestling, with Kay telling Busted Open Radio that their emphasis on character work would be an important deciding factor:

It’s tough to figure out where you think would be the best fit because we are wrestlers, but then we are heavily personalities and character. And we love that. So I think it’s just blending the two like we always have, and just figuring out which company we’d be better with, AEW or Impact.

Lee’s husband, AEW star Shawn Spears, recently told Inside the Ropes’ Kenny McIntosh that he felt the two would make incredible additions to the AEW women’s division.

But given the thriving working relationship between the two companies, there’s every chance fans could see Lee and Kay featured on both Dynamite and Impact in the coming months.
