Goldberg regrets not working with this former WWE Champion.
Arguably one of the greatest sports entertainers of all time, Goldberg has enjoyed a celebrated career. Transitioning from the NFL and establishing himself as one of the biggest names in wrestling, the former Universal Champion is all set for retirement.
A few days later, Goldberg flaunted his training pictures just ahead of his rumored retirement match. While the Hall of Famer had previously shared his list of probable final opponents, he recently named Chris Jericho, a rival he regrets not working a program with.
Before their WWE run, both stars came from WCW and were two of the hottest names there. During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on “The Ariel Helwani Show“, he opened up on his canceled feud with Jericho. The two were supposed to feud against each other in 1998, unfortunately, fans never witnessed that rivalry.
“I wish I had picked up the sledgehammer while walking out the door at WCW to smash the limousine instead of using my hand. I wish I had let Jericho have a program with me before I did. I wish I had done a lot of things differently. But again, nobody’s perfect. You live your life, face the trials and tribulations, and try to be a better person by learning from them all.”

However, the two reportedly shared a real-life backstage feud in 2003, and later even went on to have a match against each other at the 2003 WWE Bad Blood event.
WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg Discusses His Logical Retirement Opponent
Earlier this year, during an interview with Ariel Helwani,Goldberg opened up on the possibility of facing Gunther in his retirement match.
“I haven’t been able to do much at all preparation-wise. But I I think that the positives of the stem cell treatment were such a positive that it was worth me staying out of the gym for the longest period of time I ever have in my entire life and and staying away from physical activity.
“If it was Gunther and I that would be logical. There’s some heat there, obviously, that’s already been placed. And he’s the new generation. I’m the old generation. It’s kind of like a passing of the torch in a way.”
