On Monday’s edition of Raw, ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt took aim at Randy Orton’s WWE Championship in a rehash of their 2017 rivalry.
The shenanigan’s began on a very special Alexa in Wonderland themed Firefly Funhouse in which Bray and his newest muse dressed up as characters from the famous book by Lewis Carroll.
After telling Bliss that she could achieve greatness if she let him in, Wyatt was enraged when Alexa mentioned that Randy Orton was now WWE Champion. Losing his cool, the former Wyatt Family leader began to experience flashbacks.
Seeing his compound burning to the ground and Orton striking his once iconic pose in front of the flames, Wyatt promised that the new WWE Champion would see him soon.
As it turned out, it was sooner than Randy Orton would have liked. Later on in the show, ‘The Viper’ appeared on an edition on ‘A Moment of Bliss’ which soon descended into madness. Constant references to Orton burning down the compound caused the champion to break and question Bliss where ‘The Fiend’ was lurking.
He would soon get his answer, but not before former champion Drew McIntyre made his presence known and the pair brawled. As the Scot set up for a Claymore, the lights in the ThunderDome eclipsed and The Fiend’s laugh echoed throughout the arena.
As they came back on, Wyatt’s alter-go was stood behind a terrified Randy Orton and it soon became clear a trap had been laid to catch a viper when McIntyre charged the man who had dethroned him the previous evening and the pair brawled over the announce table.
With three men now involved in the WWE Championship picture and a rehash of the Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt feud from 2017 on the horizon, it will be intriguing to see how all involved slot neatly into the puzzle especially with the added bonus of ‘The Fiend’.
