WWE have confirmed that The Diamond Mine is heading to NXT on June 22nd.
Over the course of the last several weeks, vignettes have aired on NXT teasing the arrival of the mysterious Diamond Mine. However, despite the weekly clips very little is known about the concept.
The vignettes have depicted athletes training in an MMA-style gym while messages flash on screen such as “pressure is pleasure.”
The most recent segment announced that The Diamond Mine is “opening next week.”
The upcoming episode of NXT will also see rivals Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Coe in action.
On the most recent episode of the show, Cole and O’Reilly were again found brawling backstage. As William Regal and his new enforcer Samoa Joe tried to break up the melee, the General Manager announced that the pair will meet in the ring at The Great American Bash.
Not only that, both men will be competing on the June 22nd episode of the black and gold brand. The Superstars were also given the opportunity to chose their opponents. While O’Reilly challenged Kushida, it is unclear who Cole will face.
It has also been announced that Franky Monet will also be in action. The match will be her second in NXT after she defeated Cora Jade in May.
