Former WWE Superstar The Boogeyman has re-signed with the company more than a decade after being released.

Posting on social media, the star whose real name is Martin Wright, shared a clip of him signing a new contract with the company. In the post, the star thanked WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

The Boogeyman initially signed with WWE back in 2005, appearing in Ohio Valley Wrestling. However, by July, vignette’s began hyping his arrival on SmackDown which duly came in October. After feuding with JBL and Booker T and his wife Sharmell, Wright descended into the lower mid-card.

He continued to terrorize the SmackDown roster with his trademark worms until he was drafted to ECW in the summer of 2007. After clashing with the likes of Big Daddy V and Matt Striker, The Boogeyman was released from his contract in March 2009.

Despite his release, Wright has continued to make occasional appearances for WWE, appearing in the 2015 Royal Rumble, and special episodes of Raw.

Another WWE Superstar rumoured to be signing a new contract is Goldberg.

The WWE Hall of Famer made his most recent return to WWE television on the February 4th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. As Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman celebrated costing Brock Lesnar the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, they were interrupted by Goldberg.

While Goldberg acknowledged Roman Reigns, he quickly switched tact, adding that Reigns would be his next victim. It was later confirmed that the two men will meet at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia on February 19th.

It has been noted that the match is the last on the WCW legend’s WWE deal. It has since been reported that Goldberg is expected to re-sign with the company.
