The reason behind this former WWE star’s silence on television is now out.
Former WWE star Hornswoggle is one of the most well-remembered characters from WWE’s history. Making his debut in 2006 as an ally to Finlay, Swoggle helped the veteran win several matches, including the United States Championship match against Bobby Lashley.
Known for his comic antics and speaking talent, Hornswoggle was surprisingly not allowed to speak on television during the early years of his pro wrestling career. During a recent interview with The Undertaker on the Six Feet Under podcast, he unveiled the secret behind it.
The former Cruiserweight Champion revealed that he was brought into WWE to talk, and was asked to perform an Irish accent. Unable to do so, Swoggle felt that he had lost his chance. However, destiny had other plans for him.
I cannot do Irish. I cannot do any accent. I can hardly speak period. I asked Fit, ‘How do you think that went?’ And he went, ‘Not very good’. Two weeks later I ended up getting a call that [I was hired.] Which is why they didn’t have me talk and had me live under the ring for 4 years.”

Currently active in the Indies, his latest match was a Four On Three Handicap Elimination at the ACW Tanners Fall Classic.
Roman Reigns Has Ranked The Greatest WWE Survivor Series Debut
In an interview with Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated, Roman Reigns opened up and ranked his greatest Survivor Series debut. Placing it over the debuts of The Rock and The Undertaker, Roman Reigns shared,
I’m not a historian. My career has been so long and I’ve been involved in (so much). I debuted at Survivor Series. I don’t even know. I have to go with that. My debut. The Shield’s debut is the most special thing that ever happened at Survivor Series. There are a lot of really great debuts. It’s odd how many big time debuts happened at Survivor Series. Dwayne (Johnson aka The Rock) was one of them. Undertaker (debuted at Survivor Seires). Based off how it all shaped out, The Shield debuting was one of the greatest transitional situations of three young talent coming in, taking the company by the neck, and this is what you have today,”
