The Bellas have revealed that there are no current plans for them to return to the ring but are leaving the door open for a return down the line.
Brie and Nikki Bella both stepped away from the wrestling ring in late 2018 with Brie’s last bout coming on Raw in October of that year and Nikki’s last televised bout coming in the main event of the all-female WWE Evolution show where she challenged ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Title.
Now both women are mothers and after building successful careers as reality TV stars there future looks to lie away from the wrestling ring.
Speaking on their own The Bellas Podcast, the twins revealed that they might never return to the ring with Nikki stating that in her case, she might not get the choice due to injury:
“There are no plans for Brie and I to return to the ring. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to return to the ring as I am officially retired per doctors. The day that we are warming up, practicing, and maybe coming back, the Bella listeners will be the first to know.”
Brie added that they miss wrestling and a return is not out of the question entirely:
“Do we miss the ring? Absolutely. We miss the WWE Universe, the Bella Army, and we would love to get back to the ring one day. It’s just not any time soon.”
This seems to be in stark contrast to what Nikki Bella told Entertainment Tonight earlier this year when she said she was already preparing for a wrestling return:
“For me, I’m definitely starting that preparation. I want to train hard for it. When we come back, I want to change my style in the ring a little bit. I want to make a statement.”
